Matcha Green Tea

A millennial tea, currently is a BOOM in the world of health and fitness! “Matcha” is green tea at its best. You know all about green tea, right? It is rich in antioxidants, calorie-free, rejuvenates, speeds up metabolism and helps you burn fat.

Well, the matcha is green tea but instead of drinking the tea leaves soaked / infused, you are actually consuming the whole leaf of green tea.  They are green tea leaves ground into a fine powder. So, obviously, all those same benefits of drinking green tea multiply and amplify.

It is an intense concentration, by consuming green tea in the form of matcha, you are consuming 15 times more nutrients. It is also super versatile! The traditional way to prepare matcha green tea is to beat the powder slowly until it dissolves in warm (not boiling) water.

Now, do not “have” to take it that way, you can add the powder in shakes! Type of almond milk + whey protein + ice + matcha. You can add it to any recipe! Oatmeal pancakes, healthy cookies or cupcakes. Of course, what it touches, makes it green. Now the matcha is more expensive and delicate. It is sensitive to light and heat, so store it in the refrigerator in an opaque container like a can to preserve its antioxidants. But it’s worth the extra cost because it’s really super powerful.

Avoid consuming it with dairy products, they inhibit the absorption of the catechins, that is, do not mix it with milk or yogurt. If you are going to add it to milkshakes use almond or coconut milk or just water. So, do you want to lose fat, speed up metabolism, add years of life, improve the appearance of your skin, raise defenses and mood, the Matcha is perfect for you!
